Step 1: Boil water and 1 teaspoon salt in a medium sauce pan to blanch asparagus.
Step 2: Mix together the olive oil, hot sauce and garlic powder.
Step 3: Once water boils, add asparagus and boil for 3 minutes or until just tender but not very soft).
Step 4: Transfer asparagus to ice water in a medium bowl to stop cooking process.
Step 5: Place asparagus in a glass container that has a lid.
Step 6: Pour olive oil/hot sauce mixture over asparagus. Add in garlic slices.
Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
