  • 1 pound of asparagus (tough ends broken off)
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 garlic cloves (sliced)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil water and 1 teaspoon salt in a medium sauce pan to blanch asparagus.

  • Step 2: Mix together the olive oil, hot sauce and garlic powder.

  • Step 3: Once water boils, add asparagus and boil for 3 minutes or until just tender but not very soft).

  • Step 4: Transfer asparagus to ice water in a medium bowl to stop cooking process.

  • Step 5: Place asparagus in a glass container that has a lid.

  • Step 6: Pour olive oil/hot sauce mixture over asparagus. Add in garlic slices.

  • Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
