Step by Step Method

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in the warm water and then add the honey and salt (1 teaspoon table salt); stirring until dissolved. Stir in flour.

Step 2

Knead dough on a floured board until soft and elastic.

Step 3

Cut dough into 2 - 3" balls and roll balls into a snake about 15 inches long and form the pretzel. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with the kosher salt. Repeat for all the balls of dough. Place on cookie sheet.

Step 4

Bake for 10 minutes at 425 degree oven.

I really liked these, they tasted great. The only problem I had was making 6 pretzels, the most I could get was 3. Tip...have your DH make the snakes of dough for you, it is a lot of rolling otherwise.
