"Everyone I have made these for loves them, I prefer the slow cooker method but the beans can be cooked in the oven. Make sure you have a supply of Beano handy, your gonna need it! If you prefer your beans mild just leave out the jalapeno and hot sauce."

Step 1

In a skillet cook the ground beef with garlic and jalapeno until the beef is well browned. Drain fat.

Step 2

Add in all the rest of the ingredients, stir until mixed well.

Step 3

Transfer to a crock pot, cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or you can transfer to a well greased casserole dish and bake covered at 350 degrees for 2 hours. (personally I like the slow cooker method better).

Very tasty recipe - Throw it together in the morn and forget it until dinner time I usually cook crock pot recipes for less time than the recipe calls for but with this recipe the flavours blend beautifully the longer that you cook it. I cooked it for 6 plus hours. I like that you can add as much heat as you like. Even my fussy eating friend had a large plateful. This recipe will be made again for sure.
