Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat Oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Lightly grease 10-1/2” cast-iron skillet and place in oven while it is preheating.
Step 3
In a large bowl, cream together sugar, butter
Step 4
Stir in eggs and mix well.
Step 5
Mix together flour, baking powder, & blue cornmeal and salt
Step 6
Alternately stir flour mixture milk with vanilla into egg mixture and beat until well-blended
Step 7
Bake in preheated cast-iron skillet for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
