  • For the best flavor, use fresh tomatoes when possible.
  • When using uncooked shrimp, make sure to buy shrimp that is fresh and has not been previously frozen.

  • Substitute olive oil with coconut oil - Coconut oil adds a subtle sweetness to the dish and is a healthier alternative to olive oil.
  • Substitute white wine with vegetable broth - Vegetable broth is a great non-alcoholic alternative to white wine, and adds a depth of flavor to the dish.

Vegetarian Creole Replace the shrimp with 2 cups of diced eggplant, 1 cup of diced zucchini, and 1 cup of diced mushrooms. Add these vegetables to the skillet when the onions are clear and cook until the vegetables are tender. Omit the Worcestershire sauce and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce instead.

Roasted Asparagus with Garlic: A simple and delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with Shrimp Creole. Roasted asparagus with garlic adds a garlicky, nutty flavor to the Creole, and the contrast of the crunchy asparagus with the creamy shrimp is a great combination.

Cornbread: Cornbread is a great accompaniment to Shrimp Creole. Its sweet and savory flavor pairs nicely with the Creole, and the crunchy texture adds a nice contrast to the creamy shrimp. Plus, it's a great way to soak up all the delicious sauce.
