Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy.

Step 2

Beat in eggs.

Step 3

Add vanilla.

Step 4

Dry: sift flour with baking powder, salt and soda.

Blend into creamed mixture.

Step 6

Add in: mix in cereals, coconut and nuts.

Step 7

Mix until blended.

Step 8

Drop dough by 2 1/2 tablespoons or by ice cream scoop (No. 24) onto ungreased baking sheet.

Step 9

Flatten to 4-inch diameter.

Step 10

Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 12 minutes.

Step 11

Cookies should be slightly soft when removed from oven.

Step 12

Makes about 22 large cookies.

Step 13

Note: For smaller cookies, use rounded teaspoon dough, do not flatten and bake at 375 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 14

Makes about 6 dozen.
