Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Creamed
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Dry
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Add in
  • 2 cups oats
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy.

  • Step 2: Beat in eggs.

  • Step 3: Add vanilla.

  • Step 4: Dry: sift flour with baking powder, salt and soda.

  • Step 5: Blend into creamed mixture.

  • Step 6: Add in: mix in cereals, coconut and nuts.

  • Step 7: Mix until blended.

  • Step 8: Drop dough by 2 1/2 tablespoons or by ice cream scoop (No. 24) onto ungreased baking sheet.

  • Step 9: Flatten to 4-inch diameter.

  • Step 10: Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 12 minutes.

  • Step 11: Cookies should be slightly soft when removed from oven.

  • Step 12: Makes about 22 large cookies.

  • Step 13: Note: For smaller cookies, use rounded teaspoon dough, do not flatten and bake at 375 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.

  • Step 14: Makes about 6 dozen.
