Step 1: Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy.
Step 2: Beat in eggs.
Step 3: Add vanilla.
Step 4: Dry: sift flour with baking powder, salt and soda.
Step 5: Blend into creamed mixture.
Step 6: Add in: mix in cereals, coconut and nuts.
Step 7: Mix until blended.
Step 8: Drop dough by 2 1/2 tablespoons or by ice cream scoop (No. 24) onto ungreased baking sheet.
Step 9: Flatten to 4-inch diameter.
Step 10: Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 11: Cookies should be slightly soft when removed from oven.
Step 12: Makes about 22 large cookies.
Step 13: Note: For smaller cookies, use rounded teaspoon dough, do not flatten and bake at 375 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
Step 14: Makes about 6 dozen.
