"This recipe comes from a work get together. This was a favorite of my father-in-law while he lived with us. I still love this. These amounts can be easily varied to suit how many you are cooking for."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Brown hamburger and onions adding salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2
At the same time boil and then mash the potatoes.
Step 3
Layer in casserole dish or baking pan starting with hamburger,then sauerkraut, and then mashed potatoes.
Step 4
Bake in 350 degree oven until lightly browned on top (20-30 minutes).
Step 5
Also good rewarmed. Enjoy!!
