"These tasty ribs are so easy to put together, I used the Kraft reglar BBQ sauce but go ahead and use your favourite sauce as the ribs do take on the flavour of the sauce quite nicely. They turn out tender and have the perfect sauce to meat ratio….. If you like salty ribs leave them in the brine for the full 2 hours. The Frank's RedHot Sauce adds just the right amount of kick, if you do not have access to this sauce I do have a copycat version of it here #recipe13676"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix the water with the coarse salt and microwave for 3 minutes. Stir well until salt is completely dissolve and allow to cool completely.

Step 2

Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs. Do not skip this or you will have tough ribs.

Step 3

Place the ribs and salt water in a large re-sealable bag; remove as much air as possible, seal and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours. (Do not leave them in the brine for longer then 2 hours or they will be too salty.)

Step 4

Remove the ribs from salt water and pat dry.

Step 5

Preheat air fryer for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Place the ribs in the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes until they have a light brown crispy crust on the outside. Give it a good shake at about the 10 minute mark.

Step 7

Whisk together the BBQ sauce and Frank’s RedHot sauce in a large bowl and toss with the ribs.

Step 8

Enjoy!

They were all out of baby backs at the grocery store, so I used spare ribs. I cooked these in batches in the air fryer, keeping them warm in the oven so I could serve them all at the same time. The brine makes the meat seasoned all the way through... delicious! And we LOVED the addition of Franks Hot Sauce. They were sweet and spicy and will definitely be made again.
