"I like meatloaf with ketchup on top and my SO doesn't,so we compromised, and this is it.If you don't have the loaf pan, use whatever baking dish you have on hand. Also you can free form the meatloaf if you like. If you want a comfort meal, serve with Mashed Potatoes & your favorite green veggie. Submitted to " ZAZZ " on Nov.5th.2013. " Keep Smiling :)"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

In large bowl, combine all loaf ingredients, mixing well but lightly as not to dry out meat.

Step 3

Pour into a lightly oiled 9 1/4 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pan.

Step 4

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Drain grease. Top with gravy and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 5

For gravy: Prepare gravy mix and water according to package directions.

Step 6

In a medium size skillet, melt margarine.

Step 7

Add sliced onions, brown sugar, and mushrooms, stirring until onions are softened and a medium brown, about 15 minutes.

Step 8

Add gravy and stir until thickened and heated through.

A very easy meatloaf and also very moist. We felt it had too much pepper and needed salt. The gravy was too sweet, but I will leave the sugar out next time. Will be making this again with stated adjustments.
