Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: In large bowl, combine all loaf ingredients, mixing well but lightly as not to dry out meat.
Step 3: Pour into a lightly oiled 9 1/4 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pan.
Step 4: Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Drain grease. Top with gravy and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 5: For gravy: Prepare gravy mix and water according to package directions.
Step 6: In a medium size skillet, melt margarine.
Step 7: Add sliced onions, brown sugar, and mushrooms, stirring until onions are softened and a medium brown, about 15 minutes.
Step 8: Add gravy and stir until thickened and heated through.
