""This is out of one of my old 2000 weight watchers cookbooks called, "Just like home". There was 8 points for 1 patty and about 6 tablespoons of gravy on the old program. This was marked in my book to make again. (That means DH really liked it). I have served it with noodles and mashed potatoes. Hope you enjoy!""

Salisbury steak is one of my favorite comfort foods and has been since I was a child. Though this dish is almost synonymous to cold weather it was a treat having it during summer, especially on a rainy day. I cooked up 1/3 cup rice and added it to the ground beef when it had cooled and it worked out great. The sauce is really smooth and the mushrooms are so good here. Thank you, Teresa, for sharing. Made it for Players Favorites - 5 Star Gems.

A great recipe for an easy, filling and no-complaints-from-the-kids dinner! I made as directed, with the mushrooms pushed off to the side so they didn't scare away the children. Really enjoyed! Made as directed, without any changes.

Great comfort food! Salisbury steak was my favorite school cafeteria food - so this took me back to my childhood! Loved the sauce and mushrooms, even better on day two. I didn't want to buy a whole box of instant rice for the small amount called for, so I parboiled some regular rice - worked perfectly! Thanks so much for sharing this feel-good recipe!

Delicious -- I couldn't find beef consommé so used beef broth and also used regular rice. We put ours on hamburger rolls with corn as a side. Very good meal which my family enjoyed. Will try again with the right kind of soup. Thanks for sharing!
