Step by Step Method

Step 1

Peel and dice the turnip.

Step 2

Place in a large pot and cover with water.

Step 3

Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 4

Drain the turnip and add the remaining ingredients.

Step 5

Mash with a potato masher and serve.

I added the butter when I served the turnip, just a dab in the middle. I used a white turnip and it tasted great with the maple syrup and garlic. Just the right ingredinta to kick the turnip up a notch. Just a suggestion when you drain the turnip put your pot back on the stove for just a few seconds to dry the turnips a bit
