"This salad is featured at the Roaring Lion, a restaurant with an English motif, which is located in downtown Los Angeles. The best part of the salad is the unique dressing; and this recipe makes enough dressing for a few additional salads. The Roaring Lion's Churchill Salad is a classic American recipe that dates back to the 1930s. It was named after Winston Churchill, who was fond of the dish and often enjoyed it for lunch. The combination of roast beef, ham, and Swiss cheese, along with lettuce, celery, croutons, and vegetables makes this salad hearty and satisfying. The dressing is what makes it unique, with the addition of pickled vegetables, mustard pickle, and Worcestershire sauce giving it a tangy and sweet flavor. It is perfect for a healthy lunch, and can easily be adapted to suit your taste preferences."

This is a tasty salad for either lunch or a light supper (we had it for supper). Followed as directed, except for skipping the roast beef and using Romaine and baby salad kale. All the toppings worked well and so did the dressing. The dressing will also make a good schmear in place of regular mayo on sandwiches. Thank you, Dee for sharing.
