Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 ounces deli roast beef, cut in julienne strips
  • 3 ounces deli ham, cut in julienne strips
  • 3 ounces Swiss cheese, cut in julienne strips
  • 3 cups iceberg lettuce, torn
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 12 croutons
  • 4 black olives
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • Roaring Lion's Dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup pickled vegetables, drained
  • 1/4 cup mustard pickle
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon (cube)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 ounce sour cream (1 tablespoon)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/16 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/16 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/16 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

How to Make

  • Dressing:

  • Step 1: Combine all the dressing ingredients in a blender jar and blend until smooth.

  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, pickled vegetables, mustard pickle, chopped onion, sweet pickle relish, beef bouillon cube, soy sauce, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, prepared horseradish, dry mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and fresh lemon juice to create the dressing.

  • Step 4: Refrigerate until serving time.

  • Step 5: Makes about 1 3/4 cups.

  • Salad:

  • Step 6: Toss together the beef, ham, cheese, lettuce and celery.

  • Step 7: Toss with a 1/2 cup of the Roaring Lion Dressing.

  • Step 8: Garnish with croutons, olives, tomatoes and chopped egg.
