"Uses pork chops and boxed potatoes and makes for a flavorful one dish meal!! What's great about this recipe is that you can use it in the crock pot, you can make it ahead and refrigerate it and just heat it up when your ready. It's full of variations. Use any flavor of potatoes EXCEPT SOUR CREAM AND CHIVE, we don't feel like that gives good flavor. Add cheese, onions and other vegetables or not."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Follow mixing and baking directions on potato box.

Step 2

Mix potatoes and add onion in large mixing bowl.

Step 3

Spray frying pan with cooking spray and brown pork chops until ONLY about 1/2 done.

Step 4

Drain chops.

Step 5

Coat a baking pan big enough for the chops and potatoes and lay chops flat on the bottom of pan.

Step 6

Pour potatoes and sauce over the top and do not cover.

Step 7

Bake according to package directions on potatoes.

Step 8

When chops are just a few minutes from being done sprinkle cheese over the top and let melt.
