"Just a simple recipe that results in a yummy cake. I have been told that it tastes like a peanut butter cup cake. I would recommend using plain chocolate cake mix, otherwise it may be too rich. * The eggs, water, and oil may change depending on your box cake mix, or recipe."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

For cake; make cake as directed on box (I always use the 13x9 pan).

Step 2

For frosting; in a medium bowl, mix the cool whip, pudding, and peanut butter until smooth. Frost the cooled cake with the frosting. Put in the refrigerator for an hour or so (to give the frosting time to set up).

Step 3

Optional- If you like, you may drizzle chocolate syrup across the top for a pretty presentation. Cooking time includes chill time.

This is a great chocolate cake with a great topping! I loved the peanut butter flavor and it went great with the cake. Light and refreshing, yet sweet enough to cure that sweet craving I was having. The whole family enjoyed it!
