Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter an 8-by-8-inch baking pan.

Place the grated potatoes in mixing bowl.

Add the sugar, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Place in the baking pan, smooth the top of the mixture with the back of a spoon.
Step 6
Sprinkle the water over the top of the potatoes.
Step 7
Dot with butter.
Step 8
Cover.
Step 9
Bake until the potatoes are soft about 30 minutes.
Step 10
Uncover and brown on top about 14 minutes.
