Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Step 2
Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, water and lemon juice.
Step 3
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and hot.
Step 4
Stir in strawberries, and remove from heat.
Step 5
Pour mixture into the baking dish, and dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
Step 6
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 7
Stir in cream.
Step 8
The mixture should be fairly soft.
Step 9
Spoon on top of berries.
Step 10
Bake in the preheated oven until cobbler is golden brown and filling is bubbly, about 25 minutes.
Step 11
Serve with Reddi whip.
