  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tablespoons butter, diced
  • Biscuits
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces heavy whipping cream (1/2 cup)
  • Topping
  • 6 ounces Reddi whip cream topping (1 can)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  • Step 2: Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, water and lemon juice.

  • Step 3: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and hot.

  • Step 4: Stir in strawberries, and remove from heat.

  • Step 5: Pour mixture into the baking dish, and dot with 2 tablespoons butter.

  • Step 6: Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Step 7: Stir in cream.

  • Step 8: The mixture should be fairly soft.

  • Step 9: Spoon on top of berries.

  • Step 10: Bake in the preheated oven until cobbler is golden brown and filling is bubbly, about 25 minutes.

  • Step 11: Serve with Reddi whip.
