Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl.
Step 2
Stir in corn syrup and set aside.
Step 3
Sift together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Step 4
Dissolve the soda in applesauce and coffee.
Step 5
Add flour mixture and applesauce mixture alternately to creamed mixture.
Step 6
Pour into greased 13X9-inch pan.
Step 7
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
