"I have no idea if this is an authentic Polish recipe, but it's the way my family and other Polish families I've known have always prepared green beans. It's quick and easy to make, uses common ingredients, and, most importantly, it's very tasty."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place green beans in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil for about 3 minutes, or until green beans are cooked, but still retain their color and have an al-dente texture. Drain and rinse.
Step 2
Wipe down the same pot you used, then use it to melt the butter over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs and stir constantly for about 2 minutes, or until the breadcrumb-butter mixture turns golden.
Step 3
Lower heat to very low and stir in the garlic cloves, salt and pepper; fry for 1 minutes while stirring. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Place green beans in a serving bowl. Pour butter-breadcrumb mixture over, and toss a bit to coat the green beans. Serve.
