Step 1

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook penne 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but firm.

Step 2

Add 8 cups coarsely chopped Swiss chard, cook 1 minute; drain well.

Step 3

In a large serving bowl, combine remaining ingredients.

Step 4

Add pasta mixture; toss well.

Step 5

Season to taste and serve with more Asiago cheese to sprinkle on top.

I used an organic spelt Ferri pasta and garbanzo beans, as this is what I had on hand. And I must say that for a pasta with no sauce...it was nice and moist. Finished it with Grana Padano. Thanks Derf!
