Step by Step Method
Step 1
Brown ground beef with garlic very thoroughly; drain, stir in salt, chili powder and cayenne pepper, keep mixture warm.
Step 2
Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise. Lightly toast cut sides under broiler.
Step 3
Place half (one avocado) avocado slices on bottom half of bread, then sprinkle with garlic salt.
Step 4
Heat refried beans. Spread an even layer of beans over avocado, then spoon on browned meat.
Step 5
Cover meat with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce. Drizzle the taco sauce over lettuce.
Step 6
Cover with a layer of tomato slices then sprinkle on the sliced or chopped onions. Place remaining avocado slices on tomatoes and sprinkle with garlic salt.
Step 7
Cover with top half of bread; cut into serving sized sandwiches. Open wide and serve with beer.
