"I'm breaking my own rule and posting a recipe that is not mine and that I have not tweaked. But I needed it separately from the brownie recipe in which it's included, so I'm posting here. The original recipe is for Nutella Brownies, and was posted at My Baking Addiction on May 31, 2012. All I've done is double the amount so it's enough to frost a two-layer cake (or a 9x13 sheet cake) and clean up the directions."

Step 1

In a medium bowl with an electric hand mixer, cream the butter and Nutella until fully combined.

Step 2

Add in the vanilla extract, confectioners' sugar and heavy cream and mix on low speed until all sugar is incorporated.

Step 3

Turn mixer to medium-high speed and beat the frosting for about two minutes, until thick and creamy.
