Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix balls ingredients together and form into 1 1/2 inch balls.

Step 2

Brown in 1/4 cup oil; set aside.

Step 3

Saute 1 cup chopped onions in the same pan as used for meatballs.

Step 4

Combine onions with 2 cans beef consomme and 2 cans water.

Step 5

Bring to a boil and add the meatballs.

Step 6

Simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the meat from pan, leaving the broth.

Step 8

Strain the broth and thicken with 1 cup milk and flour.(Or just leave onions in)

Step 9

Season to taste and add 2 tablespoons Heinz 57 Sauce.

Step 10

Pour over the meatballs.
