"This is the only bread pudding recipe I have made and I just love it. I find it fast to make and it has such a nice creamy texture to it. My Mum would request this recipe all the time for me to make and I happily obliged. "

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Butter the toast and cut into cubes

Step 2

Using a buttered 9 x 9 baking dish alternate the layers of the toast and the raisins

Step 3

In a medium bowl mix the salt, sugar, eggs, milk and the water till blended well. Pour over the layers of toast and raisins and let sit for 20 minutes

Step 4

Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar and sprinkle over top of pudding mix

Step 5

Put in a preheated 325 oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until firm

Made this recipe as given ~ Well, almost, since I did use a full cup of the raisins, but other than that . . . AND, we had a very comforting, delicious bread pudding, for sure! I particularly enjoyed the raisin & cinnamon combo! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
