"I have made this for over 30 years and is very good. It is not your traditional pasta and sauce, but an elegant one-dish meal. It has a cheese filling with the mixture of hamburg and sauce on the top. The cheese filling is yummy with the spaghetti."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook and drain pasta.
Step 2
Saute hamburg in butter till beef is browned; add the two cans tomato sauce, salt, pepper--set aside.
Step 3
Combine all ingredients for the filling; in a shallow 2-quart casserole, spread one-half of the cooked spaghetti and then cover with all of the cheese filling mixture.
Step 4
Add remaining spaghetti and drizzle the 2 tablespoons melted butter over this; spread the tomato meat mixture over the top. If you are making this ahead, chill in refrigerator but take it out 30 minutes before baking (you may bake this right away though).
Step 5
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or till hot and bubbly; you may need to lay a piece of foil loosely on the top near the end of baking.
