These beans were great. We didn't use the jalapeno. The chicken broth did a good job thinning out the beans.

Great doctored up canned beans!! I think I would dice up the pepper before cooking it in the bacon grease and use a bit less bacon grease. The recipe didn't say what to do with the fried tortilla, but I left some in the beans and some sprinkled on top with the cheese and onion. I didn't find the beans needed any broth, as they were a good texture as is. Thanks for sharing!
