Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a Dutch oven add ground beef and Italian sausage meat with onions with about 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook stirring frequentely until the meat is well browned.

Step 2

Add in the two jars of marinara sauce, chopped tomatoes with juice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepperoni salt and pepper. Bring to a boil stirring.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low and simmer covered 1 hour. Uncover add in red wine and simmer (uncovered) another 45-60 minutes. Season again with salt at the end. Serve with pasta.

Such an excellent pasta sauce. We loved it with the pepperoni. It tasted so good over noodles and I dipped my garlic bread in the sauce as I ate! Yum!!

Really good, the gang gobbled this down with pasta, I love the addition of pepperoni it really adds to to the flavor. This is a definate make again for me!
