"These are so yummy. The original recipe calls for 1 cup milk, but, I have made these many many times and I only needed 1/2 cup so that is what I listed. I have had people who have tried this recipe tell me they needed no milk, so it would be a good idea to gradually add the milk until you get the proper consistency."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Beat together the butter, egg and syrup.
Step 3
Add the carrots and oats and blend well.
Step 4
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and allspice.

Combine the two mixtures together.
Step 6
If necessary add milk until you achieve the proper muffin batter consistency.

Fill paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full with batter.
