Step by Step Method

Get all ingredients ready

In large bowl

Mix sugar ,salt and sifted cocoa well.

In a Pam sprayed heavy bottomed saucepan
Step 5
Bring water to boil over high heat.
Step 6
Reduce heat to medium and add cocoa mixture. Cook to soft-ball stage of about 10 minutes.

Stirring constantly never leave
Step 8
Reduce heat to low and add butter and vanilla.
Step 9
Stir until butter melts.
Step 10
Remove the pan from the heat and quickly add peanut butter.
Step 11
Stir just until blended.
Step 12
Pour immediately into a heavily greased Pam sprayed 9x9 inch baking pan.

Score 1 inch squares while warm.
Step 14
Let cool about 20 minutes and cut when firm.
