Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
Step 2
Mix the flour and shortening with fork until resembles coarse meal.
Step 3
Add the buttermilk and stir until a dough forms.
Step 4
Drop them by large spoonfuls on to a greased baking sheet turn down heat and cook in a 400º F oven for 15 minutes.
Step 5
OR turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth
Step 6
Pat out to about 1/2 thick and cut biscuits out with biscuit cutter.
Step 7
Bake at 400 about 15 minutes
