"This made some wonderful battered sole fillets, I'm sure it would work for any fish just as well and it also will work for chicken. I added in some Old Bay seasoning. There's not a lot of batter, I had way more than a pound so I had to make more batter"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Make sure that you have your oil hot before adding the fish or your fish will be greasy.
Step 2
Sift all the dry ingredients together. Add in the water and mix vigorously with a large spoon until mixture is smooth.
Step 3
Coat fish fillets completely in the batter.
Step 4
Immediately drop into hot oil and deep fry until a golden brown (if your using thin fish fillets like sole it won't take long to fry.
