Step 1: Make sure that you have your oil hot before adding the fish or your fish will be greasy.
Step 2: Sift all the dry ingredients together. Add in the water and mix vigorously with a large spoon until mixture is smooth.
Step 3: Coat fish fillets completely in the batter.
Step 4: Immediately drop into hot oil and deep fry until a golden brown (if your using thin fish fillets like sole it won't take long to fry.
