Step by Step Method

Step 1

Sprinkle both sides of fillet with Tony's seasoning.

Step 2

Top the fillets with 1 pat of butter on each fillet.

Step 3

Squeeze the lemon and lime all over the fillets, (about 1 teaspoons of each on each fillet).

Step 4

Turn heat on using HIGH setting. Wait for 20 minutes before adding fillets.

Step 5

Grill on preheated grill, over indirect heat for 5 minutes per side, then serve. (The middle will be red and the outside cooked to perfection).

Step 6

Please Note: Cooking the tuna all the way through will take away from the taste and texture of the fish.

We haven't had tuna in a long time and I will add it to our summer meals on a regular basis we liked it so much cooked on the grill like this. The flavor was great with the creole seasoning and lemon/lime combo!

Yep simple and great Linda, I don't know about the pats, my pat may be bigger than yours, this is simple and still brings out the flavor of the tuna, sometimes simple is really the best, the Capt. gives this 5 stars!

An excellent and simple recipe that doesn't mask the taste of the tuna. I used Old Bay seasoning only because Tony's is used on virtually everything down here, so I seldom use it at home. I'll be using this recipe over and over again. Thank you Linda, for another great recipe.
