Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook the beans in the water, some people soak beans overnight but I just bring to a boil turn off ,cover and let soak 1/2 hour turn back on. Simmer 3 hours.
Step 2
After beans cook 2 1/2 hours in large skillet.
Step 3
Saute the onions and sausage until browned.
Step 4
Add to the beans and cook 15 minutes more.
