Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375.

Step 2

Mix dry ingredients and beer. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Pour melted butter over mixture.

Bake 1 hour, remove from pan and cool at least 15 minutes before slicing.

I was a little fooled by the recipe name. I expected a "light and fluffy" bread. The bread is neither. This is a hearty, dense bread perfect for serving with winter soups. The taste is rich and deep. A very easy bread which doesn't take all day to make and tastes wonderful! Thanks for the recipe.
