Lazy Man's Cabbage Rolls
Recipe: #7605
November 18, 2012
"This is a dish I make quite often for pot lucks. It is basically the same as cabbage rolls, except that everything is just tossed together in a pot and cooked up. Use any type of tomato cocktail such as V8, Motts Garden Cocktail, Clamato juice or just plain tomato juice if you like. If gluten intolerant make sure you are using gluten free Worcestershire sauce and vegetable stock."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Bring cabbage to a boil in a large stockpot; boil for 30 minutes.

Drain and allow cooling; slice into thin strips.
Step 3
Meanwhile, mix ground meat with onions, garlic, basil, salt, pepper, celery salt, ground cloves and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 4
Place meat in Dutch oven or heavy bottomed oven-proof pot, toss in bay leaves and add stock.
Step 5
Cook on medium heat until meat has browned.
Step 6
Drain liquid, remove and discard bay leaves and return to pot.
Step 7
Mix the remaining ingredients in with the meat, making sure you have enough of the tomato cocktail to completely cover the mixture.
