Step by Step Method

Pie crust
Step 2
Sift together flour, salt and sugar.

Cut in shortening.

Sprinkle with ice water, tossing gently to moisten.

Roll out and fit into pie plate.

(Now some people put a piece of parchment paper in the pie shell and put in a cup of dried beans .called blind baking)

Bake in hot oven (475 degrees)until golden brown. (12 minutes)

Put marshmallows in double boiler

Add 2 tablespoons strawberry juice. Cook until marshmallows are dissolved. Mix sliced strawberries and marshmallows thoroughly.
Step 11
Chill about 2 hours.
Step 12
Fold whipped cream into marshmallow mixture and pour into cool pastry shell. Chill until firm.
