Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Pie crust :
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • Filling:
  • 1 package (17 ounces) marshmallows
  • 1 box (12 ounces)frozen strawberries, (2 cups fresh ,sweetened strawberries),sliced
  • 9 ounces heavy cream, whipped,(1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pie crust

  • Step 2: Sift together flour, salt and sugar.

  • Step 3: Cut in shortening.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle with ice water, tossing gently to moisten.

  • Step 5: Roll out and fit into pie plate.

  • Step 6: (Now some people put a piece of parchment paper in the pie shell and put in a cup of dried beans .called blind baking)

  • Step 7: Bake in hot oven (475 degrees)until golden brown. (12 minutes)

  • Step 8: Coolfilling:

  • Step 9: Put marshmallows in double boiler

  • Step 10: Add 2 tablespoons strawberry juice. Cook until marshmallows are dissolved. Mix sliced strawberries and marshmallows thoroughly.

  • Step 11: Chill about 2 hours.

  • Step 12: Fold whipped cream into marshmallow mixture and pour into cool pastry shell. Chill until firm.
