Step by Step Method
Step 1
Thaw spinach and squeeze water out, set aside. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water, set aside.
Step 2
Over medium heat, melt butter and saute onion until translucent. Whisk in flour and cook til golden. Whisk in cream, a little at a time. Continue whisking til sauce thickens, then turn heat down to low.
Step 3
Add dissolved bouillon, pepper and nutmeg to sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding kosher salt if needed.
Step 4
Add spinach and heat through. If it gets done before everything else, just leave in pan with the lid on.
Step 5
Serve in small heated casserole dish (heat filled dish in oven at 170 degrees or add boiling water to Infilled dish and let sit a few minutes).
