Step by Step Method
Step 1
I soak beans overnight.
Step 2
Drain.
Step 3
In large stockpot, heat oil and add onions and peppers.

Cook until translucent.

Add garlic and paprika

Stir, and don't burn.
Step 7
Add tomato juice and water.
Step 8
Add soaked beans.
Step 9
Simmer 2 hours adding water as needed.
Step 10
Season to taste.
Step 11
Add cilantro last 5 minutes.
