Step 1

Put all ingredients in a food processor and run it until the mixture turns creamy. Fold it down once with a rubber spatula to make sure the spices are blended in, and run the food processor some more.

Step 2

Scoop the mixture into a plastic container, and refrigerate. It will keep for many months in the refrigerator, even though it contains butter.

Step 3

Fill a coffee mug half full of boiling water. Add 2 generous tablespoons of batter. Stir until the batter dissolves in the hot water. Add 3 oz dark rum. Stir and serve.

Tips & Variations

I love hot toddies, the butter, the sugar, the spices and the dark rum. This one is wonderful. Thank you for sharing a recipe that I will enjoy in the weeks to come. So good.... you have another winner on your hands. Made for Holiday Hit's - Beverages 2015. Sorry but my laptop died today and all my photos are stuck in it, until I can get it fixed. Will post the photos when able.
