"This is a reliable and very tasty version of honey wheat bread that can be made entirely in your bread machine. The texture is soft and light and the flavor is a mild, making this a good choice if you have picky eaters who normally won't go near anything that tastes too "wheaty." It is nearly impossible to wait for this loaf to cool and it is always devoured quickly. This makes a 1 1/2 pound size loaf. Special note: If you only have active dry yeast and not fast rising/bread machine yeast, then you will need 3 tsp active dry."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Consult your bread machine to determine which order to add your ingredients.
Step 2
If your machine says to add WET FIRST: Add the wet ingredients, top with the flour, then the salt in one corner, the dry milk powder in another corner. Form a well in the center of the flour and add the yeast.
Step 3
If your machine says to add the DRY FIRST: Add the yeast, cover with the flour, add the remaining dry ingredients, then add the butter, honey, and water.
Step 4
Once your ingredients have been added, select the BASIC cycle (not whole wheat or it will over rise) and either light or medium crust.
