Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a food processor or blender combine the egg, garlic, lemon juice and mustard. Blend until smooth. On low speed slowly pour in oil in a fine stream allowing the mixture to emulsify and thicken.

Step 2

Add in salt and pepper to your taste. Transfer to a glass jar. Cover tightly and refrigerate.

I loved this homemade mayonnaise! yes it does have a different flavor from the jarred stuff I feel this is much fresh tasting and no preservatives I love how I can also control the flavorings which I love, I thank you.

This is good but I can't say if I like it better than the bottled it has a very different texture and flavor something one has to get used to I guess, I don't know if I would use it for potato salad, however I think it's great for sandwiches. Would I make it again? probably not. don't allow my review to stop anyone from making it, the flavor is great, if you like your mayonnaise homemade then try it!
