Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 egg, large (I recommend using pasteurized eggs, to prevent possible salmonella)
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil or vegetable
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a food processor or blender combine the egg, garlic, lemon juice and mustard. Blend until smooth. On low speed slowly pour in oil in a fine stream allowing the mixture to emulsify and thicken.

  • Step 2: Add in salt and pepper to your taste. Transfer to a glass jar. Cover tightly and refrigerate.
