"originally put in recipe 6 oz of water. but for the pressure cooker it wasnt enough water and the cooker started to overheat. Opened the valve and added 4 more oz of water. I still found it burned at the bottom of the pan but the taste was pretty good. Step by Step Method
Step 1
In your Instant Pot using the saute feature, add the garlic, ground beef, and optional red bell pepper.
Step 2
Season with onion, garlic powder and black pepper.
Step 3
Saute until the meat is browned, then turn OFF the saute function.
Step 4
Add the brown sugar, tomato paste, water, and ketchup and give it a stir to combine.
Step 5
Place the lid on the Instant Pot and seal the valve.
Step 6
Set the timer for manual (high) for 4 minutes.
Step 7
At the completion of the 4 minutes, use a quick release and serve on top of buns.
