Step by Step Method

Step 1

Brush a small amount of corn syrup on the top of a gold or red-foil peanut butter cup (don't unwrap). Place an inverted (top side down) green-foil peanut butter cup on top of the first one. The bottom peanut butter cup is the pot/planter and the top peanut butter cup is the bottom/base the tree.

Step 2

Brush some corn syrup on top of the tree base. Top with a green-foil hershey kiss.

Step 3

Brush corn syrup on the tree and sprinkle non-pareils over the tree.

Step 4

You could use a spray glue or hot glue instead of corn syrup, but I use corn syrup just in case it gets into someone's mouth when the tree is unwrapped and eaten.

I made these to give to family, along with their cookies I made for each of them. They are so cute, and festive!

So much fun to make! I made some up to use at our holiday table this Christmas. I thought it would be cute to decorate each plate at the table. Everyone can take them home with them. Such a cute idea and it really dresses up the table too!

These were very easy to make...the corn syrup actually harden up so they really stuck together...next time I think I'll cut off the "niggly wiggly" the little piece of paper hanging off the Hershey Kiss ...to many of the multi-colored little balls clung to it...these are so cute...made for "Cooking Around the Christmas Tree" tag game...
