Step by Step Method

Step 1

Whisk together brown gravy and 1 1/2 cups of water.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties in hot oil. Take at least two minutes on each side or wait until browned (don't cook all the way through). Once done, remove the patties from skillet.

Step 3

To the same pan add mushrooms and onion to the skillet. Sauté for 6 minutes or wait until they become tender. Stir in prepared gravy. Bring to a light boil. Return patties to skillet. Spoon gravy over each patty. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer into from 8 minutes to 10 minutes.

Step 4

Serve with mashed potatoes.

This was easy to make and the family loved it. I served with mashed potatoes, as recommended. I seasoned the hamburger patties with salt and pepper before I seared them. The onions and mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the gravy could NOT have been easier to make. Made for B'Zazzled Tag Game.

This made for a great comfort meal. I followed instructions as listed except for serving this with fries instead of mashed potatoes. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us here.
